Por la alza de demanda global en la producción de muebles, construcción de edificios, y otras áreas comerciales e industriales, la cadena de valor forestal se ha enfrentado con incrementos de precios y escasez de materiales, incluso la madera.
La Asociación de Fabricantes de Muebles de Jalisco, el IMEXFOR, el North Carolina Department of Agriculture, NC Forestry Assocation, y la Appalachian Hardwood Association se unen fuerzas para ofrecer opciones de abasto de madera a la industria mexicana, por medio de una serie de encuentros de negocios entre empresas mexicanas y 11 proveedores de madera en Carolina del Norte.
La iniciativa se lanzará el día 7 de diciembre a las 10AM con un webinar de aproximadamente 45 minutos, en cual presentarán AFAMJAL, el NC Forestry Association, y el Consulado Mexicano de Raleigh, North Carolina. Durante ese mismo día y el día siguiente, los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de realizar citas 1-1 con las empresas proveedoras a su elección, coordinada por nuestra oficina.

Due to the rise in global furniture demand as well as the number of commercial and industrial building projects, the forest, tree, and agroforestry (FTA) value chain has faced price increases and shortages of materials.
For this reason, the Jalisco Furniture Manufacturers Association, IMEXFOR, the North Carolina Department of Agriculture, the North Carolina Forestry Association, and the Appalachian Hardwood Association joined forces to offer supply solutions for companies in Mexico through a series of virtual meetings between Mexican businesses and 11 North Carolina wood suppliers.
The initiative will be launched on December 7 at 10 AM with a 45 minute webinar, in which AFAMJAL, the NC Forestry Association, and the Mexican Consulate of Raleigh, North Carolina will present. Later in the same day in addition to the following, participants will have the opportunity to make 1-on-1 appointments with the supplier companies of their choice, coordinated by the EDPNC office in Mexico.
